Smoked orange zest sprayed into a negroni

This cocktail is a twist on a classic. There is something sexy about a negroni. It tastes of cherry, wine, citrus, and noticeable bitter notes. It can be a bit of an acquired taste, which makes it a little unachievable, and thus, sexy.

The Negroni is one of the simplest recipes to follow. It’s equal parts gin, campari and rosso or sweet vermouth. Throw in a twist of orange, and you’ve got yourself a negroni.

Strong, boozy, sweet and bitter – how can one drink have so much diversity? Well, you ought to try it for yourself.

Stir a negroni

The drink you choose reflects where you stand in your life. People who share the enjoyment of a negroni have some things in common. Have you ever heard the saying Birds of a feather flock together? Well, we think those who drink negronis should flock together.

For those who are unfamiliar with negronis and looking to get into drinking this sexy sexy drink, allow me to introduce you to the Raspberry Negroni, a friendlier cousin to the OG negroni, and known as the virginity breaker.

Make this to initiate your novice friends to negronis.

This recipe is less bitter than the classic Negroni. I use less campari and more gin. Not just any gin, but a sweeter gin by the name of Loving Dusk Raspberry Gin. I add a bit of Averna which is like Campari – an Amarro, but is less bitter and more orangey.

To complete the drink, throw in some raspberries to bring out the tartness of Loving Dusk Raspberry Gin, and delight your perspective of the drink.
